BAZINGA

Pablo always encourages people, especially A'tin to choose to be kind, but perhaps people have forgotten the entire statement he made during one of their interviews. Pinuno said we must always choose to be kind, but at some point, we must learn how to stand our ground, which is very much true. In this world, being good and kind doesn't always pay off. When abusive, manipulative, and controlling people see you as weak and an easy target. They will use and manipulate you until you have nothing left to give, and then they will leave you. These people will gaslight you, push you over the edge, and then act as the victim once you finally explode. Sometimes, you have to show them that they can't walk all over you.

Well, SB19 is very much known for their kindness, that's undeniable. Yet they also have this smarty and sassy way of responding to haters. In what way? Through their music, of course. Before the sensation diss track, KALAKAL, there was a witty, artistic, and hard-hitting Bazinga from their Pagsibol EP. It was the first song they made that directly discussed haters and bashers, and more importantly, the song that placed SB19 in the Billboard Chart.

Every day, I think the load gets heavy
Throw it away, the world unloads hostility
Is there a way to break the curse and stop this now?
I'm going home, then I'll cry alone
Don't you worry, soon, I'll be gone, psyche

Daily since their debut, these five talented men received all kinds of insults and hate online, and never once responded to any of their haters with the same intensity. Once or twice, they'd answered nicely and then let everything pass. For six years, their journey was full of negative posts with high engagements despite A'tin's efforts to spread positivity and promote their talents. But once upon a time, they finally unleashed their anger in a very entertaining way.

Bazinga! Hate niyo'y gasolina, yeah, I'm fire, I linger
Dare you to turn up the heat and I'll burn y'all 'til I die, yeah
Bruce be proud, I'm water, moves, they stagger, wattah!
Buzz killer, I'm killing your buzz, so get the hell out

Over the years, they've learned to zone out the awful things and instead use them as an inspiration to create a massive hit song. Bazinga is a testament to the power of the PPOP Kings. They truly are creators and they're very good at what they do. Can you imagine a Filipino-made diss track on top of the Billboard chart, dethroning BTS's Butter? Such a thing used to be a dream for many artists and SB19 made that dream come true.

Clown! Who's the boss now?
I just turned the world upside down
Now, y'all can quit thinking 'cause you won't know how I did it
Bounced and kicked it roundhouse (ya, ya)
Don't you see? Don't you see?
This is my legacy, legacy
Now, how y'all gonna get to me, get to me
When I got the Almighty with me? The bibbidi-bobbidi-boo

In this song, they basically insulted and humiliated their bashers in the most artistic way and without sounding obnoxious and rude. That is how classy SB19 is. They can put you in your place without stooping down to your level. Josh's rap part in this song talks about being better than those who doubted them. Despite all the negativities, they just keep going up and making a name for themselves. With all the achievements they've acquired over the years, it was like kicking their haters to the curb. They just keep beating them down, but the best thing about these five gorgeous men is the every time they receive so much hate, blessings will soon follow.

Look at you, peek-a-boo, pick a boo-boo
I'ma beat you even if I didn't learn kung fu
One-two punch, ooh
You're lucky 'cause I overdid it, had to say that "Two"
Not a mob, just a psycho, I'ma keep it low
Guess you know that I am the one I dare you to double O
Lemme get this straight, just got a few more words to say
Defibrillator to yo' ear 'til I won't have to say, "Clear"

With Pablo's songwriting skills, he can elegantly use double entendre, metaphors, and references to mask the explicit meaning of the songs he write. The line look at you, peek-a-boo, pick a boo-boo might mean he's having fun playing hide and seek with their haters who are continuously nursing their wounds because of SB19's continuous success. He also used the line I'ma beat you even if I didn't learn kung fu as a mask to his message to their haters that they will just keep defeating them with their success. His lyricism is beacon that can make anyone listen, even their haters, and there are only two ending. It's either the haters turn to fans or they get worse because they secretly realize their worthlessness.

There are only a few people in this world that has the same exquisite musical ability as SB19, yet they still have something about them that set them apart. Even if they get lined up with the biggest and brightest stars, their uniqueness and power will still make them standout. There are no words from the haters or lies from trolls that could dim the bright stars that are PABLO, JOSH, STELL, KEN, and JUSTIN
