Commonly known as the "PPOP Kings", many might think they are perfect, invincible, and untouchable, but the truth is, they are us. Five individuals from different parts of the country, different statuses in life, different stories. Walt Disney said all dreams can come true if we dare to pursue them, and
these young men sure dreamed big. They dreamed about something bigger than themselves, and it was too impossible to fulfill. Well, not until they gave it all in. Life is a gamble, and it's either you win or you lose, but with them, losing was never an option. It wasn't because they had to make it big, they wanted to, not just for themselves, but for those who had the same dreams as them.
But life was never easy for those beautiful souls. From the beginning of their journey, people have been saying they wouldn't make it. They are not enough to reach their impossible dreams. Sure, it hurt them, but more than anything, it drove them to work harder, to prove the naysayers wrong. An SB19 journey is not full of rainbows and unicorns but of thorns and thunderstorms. Can you imagine being hated by some of your own countrymen for no apparent reason other than the fact that you dared dream big?
One thing anyone could learn from them is that nothing is impossible as long as you believe in yourself. SB19's journey will teach you that the more the world tells you no, the more you must fight harder until there is no other choice but to say yes to you. They started with a handful of fans, too few that they could even remember each face.
No matter where they were, regardless if it was ten or a hundred people, they gave their best in every performance, even at times when they could no longer look at the people out of shame. Such experiences would have broken the spirit of normal people. It would have made one think: "No, this is enough. I've given my all." but SB19 was cut from a different cloth. They were from a whole different breed, a league of their own.
Just like their first hit song, they wanted to Go Up, to break barriers, and show to the world what they were made of. Filipinos with pure and undeniable talent and no fear of the unknown. They pushed harder, fought with everything they've got, and they never stopped, not even when it became too much to handle. Almost six years later, they are still a long way to go, but they've already accomplished so much, and for them, the greatest accomplishment was to open doors for other aspiring Pinoys like them.
But who is SB19?
A five-member group comprised of singers, dancers, rappers, songwriters, and creative masterminds, SB19 is a complete package. Beginning with the youngest in the group, Justin a creatively talented young man. With his degree in Multimedia Arts, his contributions to their group's music videos are a vital part of their success. As a naturally gifted dancer, Stell's talent became a huge part of the iconic dance moves used for their dance songs that catapulted their career. Not to mention his angelic voice.
Ken's swag and smooth dance moves have undoubtedly caught the attention of many, and his deep, sultry voice is a rare gem to find. Josh's rap and dance skills, added to the fact that he is indeed the most charismatic cannot be ignored. His eloquence in answering questions during interviews only made him more elegant. And then there's Pinuno, the one and only Pablo. His brilliant mind brought us some of the most heartwrenching, uplifting, and hype-inducing songs.
Their perfect combination gave birth to a Pop group like no other. Five singers, five dancers, five creative geniuses, and because of them, another legend was born. A'tin. From Aurum to being a nameless fandom, to the Billboard Fan Army Face-Off 2023 winner, A'tin has been with Sb19 through thick and thin. Born out of love for five talented individuals was a community of beautiful, dedicated people willing to cross the world to support their Mahalima.
This is SB19. Five wonderful men backed with equally wonderful people from different parts of the world.
