Jeju

Photo from SB19 Official on Twitter (X)

This photo was taken five years ago when these five individuals began to dream for themselves and the country. Inspired by their life stories and idols, they dreamed of something big. It is true what they say that if the journey was easy, it wouldn't be great. Anything worth something always comes from hardships, pain, and heartbreaks. Nothing about SB19's journey was and is easy. From their humble beginning to where they are now, they almost literally bled for that. But before all the achievements, before all the celebrations, they were these young gentlemen.

This photo shows these simple individuals, happy to be with one another despite all their struggles. It is enough to remind A'tin where our beloved boys came from. Many of us even wish they could still afford to have simple times like these despite their busy schedules. Indeed, simple times are the price for greatness, and SB19 is paying for their dues. During his Myx Hits Different episode, Pablo said his perfect day outside work is vacationing with his brothers. Hearing that made us wonder how often they get the luxury of rest? Can they still enjoy life like us?

Watching this video, along with the other episodes they had in Jeju, reminds us of how important it is to hang on to the memories that provided us happiness and comfort and enjoy even the simplest things because we don't know if we could ever experience it again. As the author, let me share my thoughts about their  Jeju episodes.

Watching them be their usual selves, allowing us to see them in their "woke up like this" state, gave me a sense of familiarity. They didn't care if their hair looked like a bird's nest or if their faces were wrinkled; they smiled at the camera and went on. Pablo and Stell preparing their breakfast reminded me of friends' sleepovers. Justin waking up Ken and Josh, even covering Ken's body, reminded me of brotherly love. To me, they felt safe in Jeju, away from the haters and those who didn't want to see them succeed. If I could go back in time and keep them there for a while, I would.

I would allow them to enjoy life without worries, hate, and disappointments. I would let them enjoy a moment of peace and true happiness because they deserve it. Watching them succeed is a great journey, but those who love them dearly still dream for them to have times like that in Jeju.
