CRIMZONE
SB19's greatest ability is to inspire people. Whether it be the words they say or sing, they always do their best to provide inspiration to anyone who needs it. Crimzone is one the best hype and inspirational songs they've ever released. Though, this is not just an inspirational song. If you would study the lyrics, you would learn that this is also a reminder to never settle for less and to never allow people to push you around. That is something they are very good at, too.
As individuals and as a group, they always promote positivity and remind their fans to never get caught up with the negativity. They are such good examples that many A'tin have admitted that they changed a lot of people's perspective in life. They continuously teach us to do good and be better, but they also pushes us to see reality. When people keep using you, provoking you, hurting you, then you have to learn how to fight back. Standing up for yourself is not a sin. People may not agree with it, but that is only because they expect you to keep all the hit with a smile, but you have to learn to fight back in style.
Gun, now, we run
We go hard like we'll lose none
And now, it's done
Onion sun slicin', dicin' in the zone
Let crimson drip
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip (Woo)
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip
Let crimson drip
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip (Woo)
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip
Let crimson drip
Crimzone is a word play for crimson, which means a rich, deep color of red leaning on purple, often associated to blood. In the intro, it tackles their persistence to achieve their ultimate goals. They keep pushing boundaries and breaking norms, and all the success they enjoy now are a fruit of their endless labor. They literally paid of it with their blood and tears. They also used the term onion sun, which in science is a belief that the sun is made up of several layers like an onion. Before you get to the core, there are layers you must peel and learn, same as with SB19.
Bleed it, sweat it, hey
I deserve it, now, they chase
These suckers pretend they me
Stop the cap, play ball like a captain
Gusto ka ba mu check sakong IG?
VVS akong drip murag Nike (Ayy)
Too cold, I'm ice can't stand me (Ice)
Got the fleet on my back, who can stop me?
Copy, not me - never been sloppy
It's been a long time but your boy's still bossy
Hot outside, but the neck's still frosty
Pull up five deep with the same old possee
Umm, y'all to easy
Batak ang mga sulat 'kala mo si
Bakit mukha kang pilit? 'Wag kang mag-kumulit
Asa ka pa na magaya, I'm the one and only
In the first verse, Ken and Pablo gave us sassy lines portraying their swag and daring personality. Ken talked about haters trying to copy him while hating on him. He knows himself, and he knows his worth, so he doesn't have to bothered by the voices of his detractors. He also brought up the fact that he's got the fleet, which is A'tin and his supporters to even give a damn. Josh, the lord of trash talk, elegantly slapped his haters with the truth that his ability to rap and perform is something many of them don't have. He also backed Ken statement about having their supporters behind their back, but he also implied that he would always have his brothers. They started as five and they will remain as five.
Sige lang nang sige
Believe me nang walang pagsisisi
Buhos mo'ng lahat hangga't makakaya mo
Tanging alay ko'y ako
Gawa sa pawis, luha't dugo
Kaya 'di balakid ang kahit pa na ano
Justin and Stell delivered a powerful verse together. They are pushing themselves and listeners to keep going and to never ever stop despite all the hardships. Life will never be easy for anyone, and our only choice to fight through it all. They also admitted that their journey was full of trials and nothing will ever stop them, which is true for all of us. Our pain and failures are what make us who we are. It shapes us, and we have the choice on how we will let these unfortunate events affects us.
Hero, never gonna be me, no
Quit tryin' to find me like Nemo (Nemo)
Had to cut ties with do-double crossers
Just to thread the needle
Weasel, shoo, don't need you
Kasi ngayon alam ko na what to do
I sneeze achoo para mawala na ang flu
'Cause I got lot of things to do, woo
Pablo's verse is an artistic continuation of his old statement that he would never be the kind of idol that people expects him to be. He is his person, and he knows the path he wants to take. His music, personality, and the way he carries himself are all results of the lessons he acquired through life. Pablo always had a strong sense of what is right and wrong, and he has no problem learning from others, and in reality, that is all a person can do. We don't always know if the outcomes of our actions will be good or bad, so we just make the decisions based on what we know and hope that it's the right one. He also implied that distancing oneself from negativity and people who would only do you hard, especially secretly.
Every time they perform this song, people don't have a choice but to just enjoy the feeling it gives and party, but I think we are forgetting the actual meaning of the song. Perseverance, dedication, and belief in oneself are things we should never lose. Real life is one unpredictable rollercoaster ride. You would never know when things will go south, or when you'll get hurt. There's no knowing whether life would turn out good or if you would ever reach your dream, but none of it matters. We fight through it, and we don't let the opinion of others stop us from achieving our dreams, especially of those who only wanted us to fail. We fight and we survive.
