ACER GOES LIMITLESS

SB19 has always been to promote OPM to the world, and what better way to do it than to collaborate with international artists and brands? The Acer Day 2024 was a massive success. Well, any event they got invited to has always been a success. Their fans, A'tin, will travel long distances just to watch them perform live, even if they perform the same songs. Evidently, big brands see this as an opportunity to help promote their products more. An absolute win-win situation.

One of the well-known brands that trusted SB19 is Acer, a renowned brand in many countries across the globe. Their trust in SB19 is genuine enough that they will let the group's leader create their brand jingle. Not many artists are given the kind of trust that Acer gives to MAHALIMA. Two poles from opposite directions meet in the middle to create something beautiful. The first song they allowed Pablo to write was Reset, a song sung and now, performed by Sandara Park and SB19. The second song that Pablo wrote for Acer was Ace Your World, a more intense and fierce song that empowers people to take control of their own lives.

This year, Acer allowed Pablo to write another song that was even more powerful. Limitless is a song that promotes unbounded confidence, and the perfect balance between artificial and human life. If there's one thing that SB19 is always open and welcoming about, that's innovation. What better way to innovate than to break away from tradition and norms that will imprison you to the past? This latest Acer song is a powerful statement, brought to life by the voices of our PPOP Female Alphas, G22. No other voice could've given justice to this song, just them.

Last Sunday, Acer Philippines brought the house down by bringing some of the greatest artists in the Philippine music industry today. Acer Day 2024 started with Cup of Joe's refreshing and entertaining performance. Their flamboyant nature on stage was infectious and put a smile on the faces of those who were at the MOA Arena, including me. Then, there's Ebe Dancel, a true legend in his own right. I remember my high school days when I sang along to Hari Ng Sablay. While these two talented acts gave a wonderful performance, TJ Monteverde gave us a glimpse of what KZ Tandingan must have felt when she first heard the songs he wrote for her. Rico Blanco was still the same legendary performer he once was. Hearing You'll Be Safe Here live for the first time was a core memory.

But the highlights of the night started when Sandara Park performed her iconic song In Or Out with G22. Many years have passed, and Dara surely has developed her talent and confidence, but at that moment, she was the young girl we first saw on TV during Star Circle Quest. Then, G22 set the stage on fire with the performance of their original songs: Boomerang, Bang, and Loca. And who could forget the electrifying performance of our Pambansang Krung-Krung of 2NE1? When SB19 and Dara performed Reset, the audience was pleased, and when the boys started their own set, the crowd went wild! Seeing the original choreography of Gento was a present we all welcomed, though as soon as they sang Hanggang Sa Huli, I already knew in my mind, that they could feel what A'tin had been feeling these past few days.

Just like last year, they had an explosive surprise, and it was something we did not expect. Kalakal took the whole arena by surprise, especially how they didn't pull any punches in their bars. Gloc-9's appearance on stage for his verse added to the intensity of the performance. As always, the master rapper delivered a brilliantly written verse. Ending the night with the collaborative performance of SB19 and G22 for the newest Acer song, Limitless was a sight to behold. Two powerful PPOP groups on one stage, serving live vocals and electrifying dance moves. They are indeed the Alphas of PPOP. Last Sunday's concert brought together great talents from different generations and showed how artistry improved, developed, and changed over the years, just like technology.

Acer is truly a brand that promotes positive change and empowerment. This brand also breaks boundaries and limitations and supports those who do the same. The way they support veterans and new breeds of artists is a testament to how they see the interconnected road we all must walk in life.
